Materials for Small Meetings and Worship Groups

  • Survival Sourcebook: The Care and Maintenance of Small Meetings and Worship Groups
North Pacific Yearly Meeting Outreach Committee
    2nd Edition, 1990
  • This document is somewhat dated and is undergoing revision. In particular, the lists of resources are mostly out of date, and no mention is made of the internet. Minor errors have been introduced by the process of converting the printed text into an electronic file. However, there are many helpful pieces in it that small meetings and worship groups can benefit from. Posted by permission of North Pacific Yearly Meeting's Outreach & Visitation Committee

Ready to Print Business Cards: What Do Quakers Say?

  • There is something sacred in all people.
  • All people are equal before God.
  • Religion is about the whole of life.
  • We meet in stillness to discover a deeper sense of God's presence.
  • True religion leads to respect for the earth and all life upon it.
  • Each person is unique, precious, a child of God.

To print these phrases on a business card use this PDF file formatted for use with standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of business card stock such as Avery #5371, #5372, #5376, or #5377. They should work with any standard sheet of 2” x 3 1/2” cards with 8 to the page. Select business card stock suited for your type of printer (laser, ink-jet, etc.).

You can print your personal information or your meeting’s information (or anything else) on the back. To create text to print on the back, use your word processor or desk layout program. Many word processors come with templates for business cards. Look for the instructions included with the business card stock.

Instructions for Microsoft Word: Select Tools/Letters & Mailings, then Envelopes & Labels. If necessary, click on Labels, then select Options. Under Label Products, select Avery Standard. Scroll through the list of label numbers until you find #3612 or one for 2”x3 1/2” business cards. This will give you the spacing you need. Click on OK. Click on New Document. Type your text in each of the 8 rectangles.
